It’s only 5 days into the NBA off-season and there are already a number of rumors surrounding Washington Wizards star, Bradley Beal. Beal is coming off of a career season. He averaged 25.6 points per game, 5 rebounds per game, and 5.5 assists per game in 2018; all of which are career highs.
The most probable scenario is that Bradley Beal stays in Washington. According to Adrian Wojnarowski, the Wizards offer a 3-year, $111 million dollar max deal in July, when free agency opens up.
However, Beal has been involved in a number of trade talks. The Pelicans and the Celtics have been reported to be the most likely destinations if Beal does leave Washington.
New Orleans and Washington have been discussing a possible deal according to Ben Standig of NBC Sports Washington. There is a chance that the Pelicans could offer some of the players that they acquired from the Lakers.
Another team that is in the mix for a possible trade is the Boston Celtics, Jordan Brenner of ‘The Athletic’ reported. With Kyrie Irving most likely leaving for Brooklyn, the Celtics have a hole at point guard.
If Bradley does return to Washington, he will have to take on the same leadership role as last season with John Wall’s future in jeopardy.
